About Me
For the past 20 years, I have specialized in helping individuals deal with life issues ranging from relationship obstacles and career challenges, to life transitions, family matters, and self-esteem issues.
As a psychotherapist and board-certified, licensed clinical social worker, I received a Master’s Degree in Social Work at Columbia University, and have a Certificate in Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from NYU’s Institute for Psychoanalytic Education. I received a BS in commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
Prior to starting my own practice, I was a part of Park West Associates, a psychotherapy practice specializing in substance abuse, and worked for more than a decade at Bellevue Hospital in the outpatient psychiatry department.
I was a long-time member of the board of directors of the New York City Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and I often work with families who have a mentally ill family member and help them to manage their family member’s illness.
